Advocacy

Right to Sight believe that every government should be mandated to include prevention of needless blindness as a human right, in it’s constitution, because we have now got the means to uphold this right. We believe that we are living at a moment in time where technology has allowed is to prevent blindness for millions for the first time.

We will continue to advocate for the Right to Sight through multimedia channels, international lectures, through othalmology bodies and public events, through corporate social responsibility and social enterprise.

In 2012, Right to Sight will launch the Right to Sight African Glaucoma Initiative during World Glaucoma Week. This will be a call to action for donors, volunteers from the medical, optical and lay sector and NGO’s to implement glaucoma screening and treatment centers across Africa, preventing blindness for millions before it is too late.
