Get Involved

By 2015 Right to Sight aims to train 300 cataract surgeons from all over Sub-Saharan Africa. This will result in over 300,000 people having their sight restored every year.

Your support can help make this happen.

We are always looking for people to get involved to help us raise much needed funds whether it be to host a small fundraiser or simply to attend one of our events. You can help us in any of the following ways!

1. Give Someone the Gift of Sight

For €20 you can pay for a cataract surgery operation for a patient in Africa.

2. Empower an African Eye Surgeon

For €1,000 you can provide training for an African Eye Surgeon in Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS) which will enable the surgeon to perform over 1,000 sight saving operations every year.

For €10,000 you can purchase an essential piece of equipment which will allow the surgeon to operate on thousands of patients.

3. Support the Right to Sight African Glaucoma Initiative

Glaucoma is also known as "the silent thief". Right to Sight have recently launched the African Glaucoma Initiative which will focus on early detection and treatment of glaucoma in Africa. This is a first for Africa. Why not host a small fundraiser with your friends and raise some funds to support this initiative.
