Lions Sight First Eye Hospital (LSFEH), Loresho Kenya

This Lion's managed hospital serves a large catchment area around the capital city of Nairobi. The hospital currently conducts 6,000 cataract operations per annum, and has existing high-volume and cost recovery systems in place. RTS has partnered with this hospital to develop its capacity as a training center for East Africa.

Mbingo Hospital, Cameroon
June 2008

Mbingo Baptist Hospital in the North of Cameroon has partnered with Right to Sight to increase its cataract surgeries and outpatient capacity. RTS will work to develop their capacity to perform high-volume, high quality, sustainable eye care services and to create a long term sustainable programme of eye care in the North West Province.

Nkhoma Eye Hospital Malawi

Nkhoma Eye Hospital is renowned in Africa for its high surgical volume and long standing work within Malawi reaching those most in need. Right to Sight aims to help Nkhoma introduce revenue generating mechanisms to ensure sustainability as well as to support Nkhoma to become a Cataract Surgical Training Centre in Africa.

Shalina Eye Clinic - Lubumbashi, DR Congo
June 2008

Private-Private partnership Hospital. RTS is assisting Shalina in creating a fully functioning high capacity, high quality, sustainable eye clinic. Lubumbashi is a pilot project with the joint goal of setting up further eye hospitals in DRC and other African countries where Shalina has pharmaceutical business.

Right to Sight has been involved in the capacity building and sustainable growth of JMJ-GVN Hospital since 2007. Since getting involved the Hospital has performed 9,790 surgeries and seen an incredible 70,000 Out-Patients. JMJ-GVN was the first partner of Right to Sight in Eastern India.
